Delete your account & data
For students and mess owners using MessMate
You can request that your MessMate account, and every piece of data tied to it, be permanently deleted. This page is that request form.
Request deletion
Email us from the phone number or email your account uses, with the subject "Delete my account".

What gets deleted
- Your name, phone number, photo and login details.
- Your attendance history, cycles, plans and payment records.
- Payment screenshots and suggestions you've sent.
What isn't
A mess owner's own financial ledger (who paid what, and when) is a business record they are entitled to keep for their own accounting, the same way a paper register would survive a student leaving. Deleting your account removes your access and personal details; it does not retroactively rewrite the mess's settled accounts.
A faster route for students
Your mess owner can also delete your record directly from their console at any time — ask them, and it takes effect immediately, no email needed.
Delete only some of your data — keep your account
You don't have to delete your whole MessMate (by Shrinidhi Technologies) account to remove specific data. Email the same address below with the subject "Delete my data" and list what you want removed:
- Your photo — deleted immediately; you stay identifiable by student number/phone instead.
- Payment screenshots you've sent — deleted, unless one already backs a payment the mess has recorded as received (that image is the evidence behind real money and is kept with the payment record).
- Suggestions you've submitted — deleted.
Always kept regardless of this request: your attendance history, mess-cycle dates and the mess's own payment ledger (amount, date, mode) — these are the mess's business and attendance records, retained for as long as your account exists (the same as a paper register), and are not affected unless you delete your whole account.
